I voted for John McCain. One of the many reasons was for abortion. Another was “spreading the wealth” issue.
I need to check on the report that the Black Panthers were at the entrance to a polling place in PA.
No matter who wins the presidency of the U.S., God is still in control.

  2. Ed said

The name of this show is truth talk live. The facts (albeit grusome) of abortion are still facts. The ones needing to apologize or repent for the procedure are the ones perfoming them.

  3. Maz said

Ed: And the ones that continue to stay silent on the issue and do nothing to stop it.

  4. Ed said

True enough. Facts ignored are still facts.

That,s what people like me try to get through to people like Maz about history and Evolutionary Science[smile].
I voted for Obama, and it felt great.

I feel like an 8 year old on Christmas morning.

Whoever wins, we will be moving away from the tired, failed policies of the last eight years.
I have my fingers crossed for Obama, who I voted for, but whoever wins, please, don’t be a sore loser. We have a great deal to accomplish in the next 4 or 8 years, and we can do it together much more effectively than divided.

  7. John said

Quite right Stanley, although this doesn’t mean that we won’t end up with more failed policies.
    So, you voted Stanley?

I feel like people are blaming Bush for things that he does not deserve to be blamed for. Clinton had a lot to do with the jobs going over seas and Bush is taking the heat for it and that is not right. Bush has been a good president and people are being to hard on him. He only has the power to sign into law bills that congress passes and with a Democrats running Congress you can’t blame the President for things that he cannot control. Obama is going to raise that taxes on business and those business are not just going to eat that lost. They will have to layoff more people are raise their prices to make the difference. Taking money from the rich who earned to give to the poor isn’t going to help things. Giving tax payer money to people who don’t pay taxes isn’t going to solve problems either. Obama is not the answer. Obama’s slogan is change and we will get change alright just not the change we need. Think and get the facts before you vote.

The panthers were outside of a voting place today with a nightstick. The video is on youtube.

    One last note…
Due to long lines today, all Obama voters are asked to vote on wednesday… pass this along to everyone.

“We the people of the United States’. These are the first 7 words of the Constitution of the United States of America. As I stood in the reception area of the Pentagon in Washington D.C. early this year, a large recreation of that Constitution was posted on the wall. It’s the first thing you see as you enter the building. “We the People of the United States”, I stared at it and said: “I’d die for that idea”!

I’ve written in the past, I love my country, but I’m scared to death of its government. That idea for me has taken a new twist in this coming election.

I’d first like to point out that I am not a John McCain supporter. I have been critical of the U. S. Government for years, and I, like most of my fellow Americans am angry and frustrated with the lying, manipulation and partisanship of the elected officials, both local and national, Democrat and Republican, of this country.

The Founding Fathers of this Country wrote this Constitution, with all it’s Amendments, as THE Cornerstone that this country would be governed by. We Americans now find ourselves on the eve of, without a doubt, THE most important election of our lifetime. In a time of World uncertainty, the volatility of the global financial Markets, the Middle East at war, Russia invading Georgia, Iran and North Korea attempting to develop nuclear weapons and with that Iran threatening to “Wipe Israel Off the Map”, the entire world is at a dangerous point in history.

I grew up and lived with the ideals and philosophy of the “Counter Culture” Generation. “Peace and Love”, ” Flower Power”, “Stop the War”, Never Trust anybody Over 30″. “Stop the War” was absolutely correct! Vietnam was a disaster and more than 50,000 U. S. Soldiers died for that mistake.,p> But the rest was a load of naïve, idealist, “we can change the world”, CRAP!

Not that some of those sentiments weren’t a good idea. It’s just that this generation of self-serving, selfish, spoiled brats has now come of age. They are the ones that now have perpetuated the greed and the lies of the Wall Street Bailout and a laundry list of other political atrocities too numerous to mention. The weakness of true conviction to teach their children about the values and history of this Nation. Their children know nothing of Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Washington, Lincoln or the understanding that this Great Nation was built on the Dreams, the Tears, the back breaking Labor, the unending sacrifice and the Blood spilled by the generations before them that sacrificed their all, including the men and women that gave their lives, and the ones that will give their lives in defense of this “Great Experiment”, this Great American Dream. If you don’t think so, go up to most any of their kids on the street and ask them about the Founding Fathers. More than likely they’ll think its some new rap group. It’s not just a glimpse into poor enlightenment. It’s an indictment on their parents.

The generation that was going to change the world certainly did. Their gluttony for botox, living on credit cards, busy being fabulous and its all about me, me, me cause I’m better than you. “All You Need is Love”…. I’m sorry pal, you missed the boat, all you really need is some guts and character. I’m disgusted and ashamed to be part of it. Instead, that generation with their ‘Woodstock / Marxist” Scream – Dream are the ones which now control the majority of the mainstream media in this country. That includes almost all Television and almost all Newspapers. They are the ones that now bring the extreme liberal, radical 60’s utopian vision of their world to the American people. The extreme liberal bias of the mainstream American Media which are now controlled by these “Yuppies” have conspired to deceive, manipulate, suppress the truth, promote their candidate at all costs and bury any story that does not put a halo around the head of that candidate. It is with this that the American People are brought Barak Obama.

This man is a product of that Extreme Leftist – Marxist movement that has been building in this country for over 40 years. He is a product of the Harvard far left. He is the face and mouthpiece of a movement that is Hell Bent on breaking up the U. S. Constitution and reassembling it to conform to their vision. He is a lawyer, the Democratic Johnny Cochran, in which every time he speaks gives a closing argument. He is the embodiment of the New Democratic Machine.

When I was a kid everyone I knew were Democrats, but these are not your fathers Democrats anymore. They are part of some liberal elite that looks down on the ideals that made this Country great. This Leftist Machine has hidden the truth from the American People (and the World) and continues to deceive at any cost.

Right now, as I write, the L. A. Times Newspaper has a videotape, which it refuses to release to the American Public, which shows Obama at a farewell dinner celebration for the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) Spokesman Rashid Khalidi. He was also a spokesman for Yassir Arafat. In this tape are the recorded verbal attacks on Israel and the Israeli People and reference to Israel as a terrorist state.

Reportedly, the Domestic terrorist Bill Ayres, who as part of the “Weather Underground” terrorist organization bombed several U. S. targets including the Pentagon and the home of a U. S. Judge and killing 2 policemen in the process, was also at this dinner. Obama has been close friends with Khalidi and Ayers for many years. The oath of President requires that the President will “protect the United States against all enemies, both Foreign AND Domestic”. Guess he didn’t read that part!

Now, what should be of utmost concern to the American People are the repeated denials by Obama, that he has no ties to any of these people. If he has nothing to hide why not be truthful with the American Public and request the L. A. Times to release this videotape for us all to see. If it turns out to be nothing then at least the truth will be served. From Obama’s 20 year association with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright who has repeatedly said: “It’s not God Bless America, No, No, No, It’s God Damn America!

Obama sat in Wrights church and listened to this Treason for 20 years. Wright also performed Obama’s marriage and Baptized both of his children. Obama was an organizer for Acorn, the group now accused of massive voter registration fraud. Some working for Acorn have already been jailed for this. Obama was also Acorns lawyer for a time. Obama recently donated over $800,000 to Acorn. He accuses Americans for “clinging to their guns and religion”. Never in the history of the United States has any Presidential candidate had a shroud of controversy surround them as has Obama. If someone would have told me 2 years ago that anybody with these associations could get nominated for their party, or even dog catcher, much less President of the United States, I would have said your insane.

My reasons for starting this letter with the first line of the Constitution is to reference a radio interview Obama did in which he says the U. S. Supreme Court did not go far enough in attempting to provide reparations to African- Americans and that the Earl Warren edition of the Supreme Court was not liberal enough. That Court was probably the most liberal in U.S. history.

It is not the job of the Supreme Court to be liberal or conservative. It is to interpret the Constitution… period. It is not to legislate from the bench based on the “general consensus of the people” as stated in a recent Supreme Court ruling, but rather to make its rulings based on the precise wording of the Constitution. If at some point “the people” wish to have any new amendment to the Constitution based on their modern day ideals, then all 50 states must ratify it….period. This is the Obama quote from that interview with radio station WBEZ.FM in Chicago. This is not taken out of context. It is the entire quote:

“The Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendancy to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put t ogether the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that”.

These are things he would NEVER say in front of a national audience. He only says and does these things when he thinks his base group is listening. In this interview he is making it clear that if elected, he would nominate Supreme Court Justices that will put forth his agenda’s, “redistribution of wealth”, his idea of “economic justice” and “redistributive change” which are other words for reparations for slavery and a Marxist redistribution of wealth which is no more than welfare.

Thomas Jefferson wrote in The Declaration of Independence about ‘Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT of Happiness. This PURSUIT is not a guarantee of wealth or any form of happiness, but the chance to raise one-self up. This government never has, nor ever will, nor ever should provide for anything more than this.

It is ironic that Obama’s supporters so often refer to him as a new John F. Kennedy.

Senator Obama should be reminded that it was JFK in his inaugural address that said “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for you country”. That is the TRUE American Spirit!

On the issue of taxes, in effort to “spread the wealth around” he first defined the rich as making $300,000 then he said it was $250,000 then he said $200,000, then a few days ago Joe Biden said it would be $150,000. So, what’s the real number? This is more about him not being truthful with the public.

Will all of his tax schemes of taxing anyone who makes over $250,000 (or whatever it is) a year destroy our economy, yeah, just like Jimmy Carter did in the 70’s and Herbert Hoover before him. It’s not the individual that makes that much money that’s the issue. If this were only about individuals then that could be argued. But what he doesn’t tell you is what it does to businesses. Most any business that creates that much revenue MUST employ a number of people. If the business is taxed upwards of 30% or more then those jobs are gone…its that simple.

There have been a lot of charges about racism in this election from the Obama side. I personally have never been a racist. Any of you that know me, know I’ve said many times that after my Father, Muhammad Ali has been the biggest influence in my life. But there definitely is racism in this election. 96 to 97% of African-Americans polled in this election say they will vote for Obama. Never in the history of this country has ANY candidate ever had such overwhelming numbers from any group. White, Black, Hispanic, Asian or other. The traveling Political, Racist, Circus called Acorn, which Obama worked with for years, is creating and sponsoring voter fraud across the country by registering illegal immigrants, the Dallas Cowboys and Mickey Mouse. This is no joke. Acorn has actually done this and much, much more. Their belief is win …. at any cost…. the Constitution be Dammed!

If that’s not prejudice, I don’t know what is.

The books Obama has written about himself are very clear as to his true ambitions concerning his Leftist, Marxist views but the average person will not take the time to read them, In the 1920’s while in prison, a young Adolf Hitler wrote “Mein Kampf” (My Struggle) which outlined his entire plan for World Domination and the extermination of the Jewish race. No one would read it, and then when they did it was too late…. any book that was not approved by the Nazi Party was burned. The “Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx at one time, was required reading in our schools. This book is Obama’s “How To” guide with his ideal of the “Redistribution of Wealth”. If you don’t think so, go back and look at the above radio interview. Somewhere Karl Marx with his Godless, Utopian vision is laughing in delight.

If it is true that “What is Past, is Prologue” then we need look no further than Obama’s books. His blueprint is there in black and white. Literally and figuratively.

I will vote for McCain, not because I believe in all he stands for, but as a mandate against Obama, to keep him from becoming President. Yes, I will cling to my guns and my religion, and continue to believe in the Constitution, the Cornerstone of our society and trust that this is STILL a “Government of the People, By the People, For the People”.

The point of all this is, that no matter whatever any of us encounter in life, look for the truth. The truth can and will stand up to anything. If that truth cannot stand up to scrutiny then you must see it and call it for what it truly is. If any would be Messiah comes along and he looks like it, acts like it and smells like it then you call him what he truly is… a Marxist, in Socialist clothing!

I challenge all Americans to go back and READ the Constitution of the United States, READ the Declaration of Independence.

    Decide for Yourself

God Help Us. … God Bless America

I pray that all that is wrong will be put right and that as a Christian we will choose to pray for all leaders for peace and prosperity to all. That we all will stop using our tongue or the power of the pen to destroy or put others down because of their social background or thier economic background.

That we rejoice with those who rejoice. That we will all look beyond the now and dream of the possibilty of reaching out by professing the truth of our faith – Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind and your neighbour as yourself.

I am just glad that America will be the example that the wider community will look to and practice a democracy that will embrace all- tribes, ethinity etc. within each country and learn to work together

May God continue to guide and protect us all and may we all be truly submissive to his will and to his ways Amen.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1Timothy 2:1-4).

lauren post#30 from the previous program- If they truly desire to follow Christ’s teachings, then they’d be better off to inspire unity instead of division, love instead of hate, understanding instead of intollerance.

It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error.
Christian unity is a wonderful thing. And we must do everything we can to keep the unity of the church and to be one with all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:3 that we are to be “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” And the psalmist wrote, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1).
But our unity must only be that which the Spirit can say amen to, because the Bible says in Amos 3:3, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Unity in the Holy Spirit-yes. Unification and uniformity that sacrifices truth-no.
Martin Luther led the Protestant Reformation, a movement that broke with the ungodly uniformity of his day. Here’s what the mighty reformer said:

I do not want to know anything of peace and concord when the Word of God is thereby lost and the Word and eternal life and everything is forfeited. It is not right for me here to draw back and give way out of love toward you or toward any other person. But before the Word everyone must give way, whether he be a friend or an enemy. For the Word has not been given to us for the sake of external or worldly concord or peace, but for the sake of eternal life. Don’t talk to me, therefore, of love and friendship if the Word and faith are to be compromised.

We remember Martin Luther today because he paid a price and took a stand. What you and I call the Protestant Reformation was actually a great revival meeting. Luther also said, “The Bible does not state that love brings us everlasting life, God’s grace, and all of the heavenly treasures, but the Word brings them to us.”

  23. Maz said

Paul: Yes Amen. It really amazes me that some Christians today cry for UNITY…….at all costs! Well, unity in the Body of Christ can only be in the Spirit and in Truth.

    Tripp #21,

Exactly right. Seeing Jesse Jackson cry in the crowd last night, I almost threw up in my mouth.

Do people REALLY think it’s because he was so happy to see someone elected who thought like him, or b/c he looked like him? I think the answer to that is pretty clear.

  28. Brad said

Keep in mind, all liberal Christians:

There is now nobody left to blame for Obama and his Presidency. A Dem President, a Dem controlled House & Senate, & Dem advisors, means that they can pretty much punch through what they want.

I do pray it works, and that we will be better for it. However, if it doesn’t, don’t try to pull the blame game, b/c “it’s Bush’s fault” won’t work at that point. Just remember that.

It kills me how liberals are intolerant in the name tolerance. They claim tolerance while spewing hate towards those who claim Biblical truths.

Tolerance is certainly a good thing in a limited way. Like with machinery, an engine is very efficient when tolerances are tight and true, but need lubricant to keep from generating too much heat. Society is very effective when tolerances are tight and true, but need lubricant (love and grace) to keep from generating too much hate.

  31. Pammy said

Thank God for liberal christians – The Truth of God’s word will continually set us free, we shall be open to God’s word and pray without ceasing.

Now I know why religion gets a negative review from on-lookers. It is ironic though that the general conversation on this site hasn’t been about Christianity and the word of God – I think it has been the same old story – I shouldn’t be too surprised as well especially since Christianity has so many denominations.

I rejoice still about the diversity in our various denominations, it reminds me about some blind men trying to describe an elephant but interpreting it from various vantage points. They were all right in the fact that they were all describing the same elephant buy all had different views.

It goes without saying that it is imperative that we all pray continually as we have all been taught – “Our Father”

  32. Mike S. said

It’s inetersting that you used the parable of the blind men and the elephant to make you your point. Your point is that we can only see part of the whole picture right? Do you realize that by using this analogy to make your point you are self refuting the very point you are trying to make? The only way that the story teller can tell this story is if the story teller can see the whole picture, which is the very thing that the story teller is saying can’t be done.

  33. Maz said

Pammy: ”I rejoice still about the diversity in our various denominations, it reminds me about some blind men trying to describe an elephant but interpreting it from various vantage points. They were all right in the fact that they were all describing the same elephant buy all had different views.”

We must also remember that there are doctrinal differences, and they are not differing views, but different beliefs about what the Bible teaches, which means there is truth and there is error. We must always seek truth and be willing to share it with our brothers and sisters in love.
I have brothers and sisters in other denominations here in Britain, I can discuss those differences without alienating myself from them, and I love them in the Lord and even have fellowship with them if possible. But somewhere along the line, someone has the truth and someone is in error.

Let us unite in Spirit and in Truth. ”Thy Word is Truth”.

Ed made the best comment of all.

“No matter who wins the presidency of the U.S., God is still in control.”

Let me just back that up with our God’s word!

    Psalm 2

1 Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
3″Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”

    4He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6″As for me, I have set my King
    on Zion, my holy hill.”

    7I will tell of the decree:The LORD said to me, “You are my Son;
    today I have begotten you.
8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession.
9You shall break them with a rod of iron
and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

    10Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
be warned, O rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear,
    and rejoice with trembling.
    12 Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

The church corporate should observe this election carefully. Not with regard to either of these two candidates, but in whole. What does it say about the state of the Church? How well does the church do with all her self derived methodologies? How well do we prosper when we do not teach the council of God’s word? When we try to entertain people and coax them to make a profession of faith only to have empty minded converts who perpetually have no knowledge? How well do we do when we have para church organizations trying to fill the roll of church? How well do we do when we try and bear fruit without the worship of God? The real question is, how well do we do when we do our own ways and not our Lords? Our Lord has made His methods so simple and straight forward, the load light, His worship joyful, His commandments pure. When the Lord revives His people, as He always does, and we humble ourselves, we repent, and we …..WORSHIP…… as he has perscribed, then He will bring blessing again … and we will bear fruit … as He has promised. Though we may be downcast by what we have observed going on around us for decades, be of great cheer Christians. For although we miserably fail at every turn, our God is the covenant making and covenant keeping God. He never fails. He started and preserved His Church throughout history with a single man (this has many implications) and look, He has many good churchman today and continues to grow His bride throughout the nations.

    One of my favorite verses

    2 Kings: 2:23-24 (NIV Version)

23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. “Go on up, you baldhead!” they said. “Go on up, you baldhead!”
24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

    Good example of tolerance/intolerance
Family Life Today Devotional, Dennis and Barbara Rainey:

    Taking a Stand

“You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:13-14

Salt is a preservative, and light dispels darkness. As I see it, Christians need to take responsibility to lovingly confront the foolishness and wickedness that crosses our paths. You and I can’t just turn our heads, acting like evil doesn’t exist. We’ve got to step into the battle personally and confront it.

Recently Barbara and I were chaperoning a junior-high dance. I was a little late in getting there, and when I arrived I was told that, in a dark part of the dance floor a number of students were using some questionable dance moves.

I eased my way back toward the students in question and was amazed, shocked and embarrassed at what I saw. About two dozen kids were involved in a dance that looked like intercourse with clothes on.

I was faced with a dilemma-do something or do nothing. I was finally pushed over the edge and into action when two boys and a girl began a particularly vulgar move. I walked up to them, tapped the boys on the shoulder and said, “You’ve gone too far. This is indecent-knock it off!” As they backed away from the girl I looked her in the eyes and scolded her, “You shouldn’t let boys treat you that way. It’s immodest and vulgar. They are robbing you of your dignity as a young woman!”

It was interesting that those kids knew what they were doing was shameful. They just needed someone who cared enough to confront them.

For years our nation has trumpeted the value of “tolerance” above all other values. Tolerance says that there are no moral absolutes that govern us. That one person’s beliefs are just as valid as another. Many adults would be shocked that I tried to “impose my standards” on those junior-high kids at the dance.

Unfortunately, this supposed ideal of tolerance has ushered in a culture that does not know right from wrong, and we’re all sitting on the sidelines watching our culture slide.

Shall we pray as Abe Lincoln did?

Prayer by Abe Lincoln March 30, 1863:
…..We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!

It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.

Abc’s: I’m not sure that we should use that method today!

I was reading Joel yesterday and one verse I particularly think is relevant for us as Christians today, ”Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that nurse at the breasts; let the bridegroom go forth from his chamber, and the bride out of her room. Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Thy people O LORD, and give not your inheritance to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the people, Where is their God?”
    Joel 2 v 15-17.

”BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION!! Sound an alarm in my holy mountain. Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the LORD comes, for it is near at hand.” Joel 2 v 1.

Mike S: #38. Good on ya!! I would have felt the same! There are times in ones life when the righteous anger of the Lord surfaces, and somehow holy boldness comes over you. I’v had that….and it’s amazing…the response.

Brad is right. When you Christians who voted for him are displeased about your taxes, upset that abortion is on the increase, lose your right to witness to people, watch as gay marriage is embraced nationwide…..DO NOT EVEN TRY to blame it on anyone else except yourselves.

We must all pray for our country and for the president-elect, but I don’t have to agree with him.

If he refuses, then LOOK OUT!

Abc’s: Question: At what stage of transition does a species become another species? And how do you know it has reached the end of it’s evolution? THAT is the problem.
Supposedly we are all continuing to evolve into something else, so how do we become another species separate from what we were before?

I like WFU Linebacker Aaron Curry’s quote better. Aaron, a committed Christian, has a tattoo on each arm, one says “Humble” the other says “Hungry”. When asked by the local newspaper, “So what’s it going to take to get the Deacons back on the straight and narrow?”

    His response…
    “Being humble,”

I think we Conservative Christians should follow suit!

What’s the difference? I’m stuck with socialized medicine there too.

I’ll agree with Mike S. and like I mentioned earlier, will pray for him and our country.

Still, I want to see him place his hand on the Bible on Inauguration Day. If he refuses I might start packing.

Stanley, I’m sorry we disagree. But you make me laugh sometimes. You obviously have a good sense of humour and I guess those of us who had hoped for a different outcome last night need to get one too.

Even though I totally disagree with his politics, I do hope Barack can fix things and get us back on track.

I’m not all bad Tripp. Us godless types do have redeeming qualities, just like ya’ll. You do seem a lot like my roommate. We’re polar opposites on almost all issues, and we fight, but we still understand why we think the way we do, and that we’re both out to make the world better, just by different methods.

20 years in the U.S. Navy. Most of that in submarines. I do not care who the President is, the President requires (yes required by the Bible) prayer for wisdom, grace and faith. I do not have to agree with him. I do not have to like him.
Jesus Christ said that I have to love my neighbor, no requirement to like him.

  74. Tripp, Heather and Blackie:

You guys sound very rightous let me ask you a question in your church do you welcome alternative “christian” rock and country music instead of the hymns do you have pitcures of a Jesus with long flowing hair (I dont know I’ve never seen Jesus ) women that wear pants with short jackets/shirt that show thier shapes. If so then dont critize black christians for voting for Obama based on color. Because we all come short of the Glory of God Yes even white folks. Having said that I do not condone Black churches for advertising Obama Because personally I dont agree with everything is for I think it’s morally wrong but have Palin one heart beat away from President is alarming

  75. Tripp said

Boy, Lemanda. I really think you’re missing the point.

I’m getting emails and articles like crazy from my black friends who are Christians AND did not vote for Obama. They are as upset as me…a little ole white boy.

  76. Paul said

Lemanda in your previous show post:We have had at least 30+ years to fight for the unborn and WE didn’t

You know judges don’t have term limits and because of you disire to have a black president we are now set back a generation and that would be around 40 years, now can you see why people are so upset with your choice based soley on race.

And yet you knew to do good and you didn’t and the bible calls that sin.

  77. Lemanda said

All I will say is we have had more Republicans then Democrates as president why is it still legal, (aboration) Are you sugguesting that we finally at this late hour was going to stop it right at this very moment but thanks to Obama it want happen. Hey Barney
We meet at Speas School on Polo Rd. Yes we are open to the public, except only sinners are allowed. (Sorry Stanley) 🙂 We have about 40 very friendly families and a lot of WFU students. I am leading worship this Sunday so you could see who I am without even meeting me if you desire. Although I would love the chance to meet you. Our worship is in the gymnasium and it is a very casual atmosphere. Here is our website… http://www.hopepresws.com
