    Some comments from Planned Parenthood:

    God help us:

“Therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I will give you over to bloodshed and it will pursue you. Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you.” (Ezekiel 35:6)

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31:8-9)

I would vote for it in a heartbeat Stu.

    Biased poll is biased.

    Ya think?

If we do nothing and don’t take our stand against this horror then we are as guilty as those who do it.

Those people who desire to have abortions shall always find ways to accomplish this act, regardless of the legality of the matter.
Did the ending of segregation in America end racism and hate crimes?

I don’t think that ones desire to see legislation to abolish abortion is necessarily driven by the thought that, if we do, then abortion will end. The logic is, the “form” in the womb is life, has person-hood, and isn’t guilty of breaking any civil legislation that would condemn it to die, thus should be protected from being killed.

I do not disagree that abortion is a horrible thing. The reality is that many people make it the main issue in Christianity. Many who vote for Democrats do not do so because of their position on abortion. They do so because of their positions on several other things. I agree with FLA so making it legal means that it will be more likely to be safe and medically sound (I know, I know…except for the unborn baby).

My thing is that God does not for this issue to make us hate each other like we often due because of our different positions.

    Stanley,

    All polls are biased. 🙂

F.L.A: Your argument doesn’t hold water. We have laws against murder but have people stopped murdering? Ofcourse not. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have the law. We have laws against people stealing, but have people stopped stealing? Ofcourse not.
We need laws againsst these things whether it stops people doing it or not. And we need a law against murdering unborn children.

  11. Infanticide is homocide, period.

So see if the law can get passed, Maz.
Regardless, life[And death] will go on.

Yes. There is no question Christians should vote for legislation that limits or better yet abolishes abortion. The only problem with this legislation is it allows for the slaughter of 3 children, or so, in a hundred. Does incest or rape make that slaughtering of a human being any less gruesome or wrong. I believe our Lord in his word is rather clear on the thou shalt not murder commandment. As to a medical emergency that could lead to either the woman dying or the child, I am going to guess that this is almost a non-existent condition given modern medicine. I would suppose that given current medical techniques that this condition can be dealt with 99.9999999999999% of the time.

I loved you guys asking the pro death woman if she was OK with her mother having and using the pro death option!

She hesitated so you know she wanted to say know, but to save face she couldn’t. It was very tell tale.

Yes, Make it illegal. Maybe the funding for infanticide could be directed towards adoption. It is an abominable act. It is totally antithetical to the Gospel. The logic of abortion says that life has no value – i.e – Christ died in vain.
Making abortion illegal would also end any political debates about so called ‘love thy neighbor’ rhetoric. It would get rid of some ‘Pontious Pilate’ politicians (hopefully…)

Hi, one more thing. Thank you for the blogs. I tried posting some comments on another Christian site – but only my entry stating that John McCain was funnier than Barack Obama was posted. I guess they didn’t like a post I copied from a black conservative radio host.

    …We’ve got to pray

John McCain isn’t funny. Hes awkward, almost creepy when he tries to joke.

  18. Stanley said

Obama isn’t all that funny either though. Hes too super serious
