Reaching the unreached in Romania

Posted by truthtalklive on July 31, 2007

The gypsy population in Romania is several million strong. They are outcasts of society, nomadic in nature and virtually unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Trans World Radio is in the midst of an ambitious project to provide solar, fix-tuned radios to the gypsies to bring them the good news.  You can help. During our program today call tollfree 1-800-456-7897 or visit them online www.twr.org

Great show! The Biblical mandate to care for the widows, orphans, and aliens in our midst really being carried out. It is great that someone is really caring for these true “aliens in our midst.”

My husband and I used to live in Serbia as missionaries in the early 90’s. We take small groups from our church now to do mission work there and just returned from our third trip. We worked with Branko Tihojevic in eastern Serbia, along the border with Bulgaria and Romania. Is this the same Branko? I would love to know–the voice sounds almost exactly the same!

I know firsthand the status of the Romani in Serbia. The .01% evangelical population in Serbia has a difficult task of reaching their country and it is only through the work of the Spirit that men like Branko can reach out beyond their own ethnic group to the Gypsies.

    Thanks for your great comments!

My name is Branko Bjelajac and I know Branko Tihojevic and his work in Eastern Serbia.

Please, continue to pray for the work we do in Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia, Macedonia, Romania and Hungary with the Roma people! Isaiah 1:17 God bless you.
