No – the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Money is not the problem, it is the state of the heart in trying to acquire it, or the state of the heart after it has been received, that is the problem.

What about Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A? I think he has managed to put Christ first in his business, and I believe the Lord has certainly blessed him many times over. He closes on Sundays (one of the best days for restaurants to be open), and STILL does more business than many restaurants who are open 7 days a week. He still teaches the same SS class he has for 40 years at his home church.

Has money corrupted him? No, I don’t think so. B/c money isn’t the problem, the state of the heart is the problem.

A business that is not making money will not be around long. A successful business makes money, expands, and employs people…and does so with ethics, honesty, and the best customer service.

    Hell Don Barefoot,
I am a wedding photographer. Recently I was approached by a gay couple to photographer there wedding. How does one respond? Do I state the bible and state how God does not accept this type of marriage, do I lie and say that I cannot due to another engagement?( obviously not gonna do this)….

I am suppose to be a witness for Christ but how do I do this without compromising. I photographer nonchristains all the time.
Just in case it is stated that gay marriage is illegal, what about when they become legal?
    Thank you for your insight.

Ecclesiastes 10:19 says, A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things, and over the years I have witnessed the “Christian X-games” if you will. There were people that were trying to figure out the exact date and time of Christ return, and in a futile effort, they would sell all of their things and move to the hills. Many others would boast that they live lowly and near poverty because the Lord honors the meek and poor. These are extremes. Abraham was not poor; Joseph was far from poor; the three Hebrew boys had prominent positions in the kingdom; Job was rich, lost it all then more rich after the storm passed; and Solomon was surely blessed with wealth. I ran down a small list of wealthy men of God so that people will understand that poverty is not synonymous with piety. God does not even work in the extreme. He calls for us to have a balance.

    Shalom
