    Stu,

While I like Mike Huckabee, I find it a bit disconcerting that not one person has mentioned Congressman Tom Tancredo of Colorado. Please mention this man, who deserves support as a well, being a conservative Christian. He’s pro-life, pro-border security, pro-marriage, and is one of the few candidates with integrity. Thanks.

Interesting topic today. For a conservative Christian candidate, check out Richard Michael Smith at http://www.rmsmith2008.com. He’s a long-shot, but he just might be the answer to the 2008 mess. It’s worth it to get to know him.

I tried to call in to your show today, but couldn’t get anyone to answer.

Hey, Stu, Duncan Hunter is one of my three besides Huckabee and Tancredo at this point. The big knock on Ron Paul seems to be his attitude. His rep is that he’s difficult to work with, and that does not bode well for a campaign. Check out TeamTancredo.com, especially this page with his positions on:http://www.teamtancredo.com/letter.php.

    Keep up the good work!

For the office of President, there are two choices, well three if Judge Roy Moore actually decides to run, ok four if George Wallace Jr. decides, and those two respectfully are Tom Tancredo of the Conservative Majority party and Michael Peroutka of the Constitution Party. You want to see Christian credentials do ya, well by all means, check out the Constitution Party.

You mentioned on your show about Christian choices. What kind of a choice do you have with freemasons abounding this election? By the way, can you actually believe the masons accepted bill clinton into their ranks? I always knew there was something between masons and marxists.

When I called in at the end of your program yesterday I responded to your question….Duncan Hunter would be my choice for 2008. Your response was “An Independent!” But that’s wrong. Duncan Hunter is a Republican. Please check him out. Please let your listening audience know that he’s not an Independent. Thanks. Carolyn from Canton

Christians should vote for the candidate most likely to protect our secular government from the right wing fundamentalists.

After all, that is the only thing that keeps us free.

Ron Paul – Truly the only choice if you look into him and compare.

All I heard and still see both on the show yesterday and among Christians that I know is more “hold your nose and vote” lesser of two evils lie that to many Christians buy into. This is totally unscriptural, especially considering there is an electable conservative Christian choice in Republican TX Rep. Ron Paul.

It’s not completely your fault you don’t know though, Paul has all but been blacklisted by the media, including “evangelical Christian” sources and leaders, many who wear “Christianity” on their sleeve. He wasn’t even included in Jerry Falwell’s National Liberty Journal’s “Campaign 2008 – Identifying the Republican Presidential Candidates” March 2007 edition where they listed the ten Republicans from which to chose. At that time Representative Ron Paul had already formed his exploratory committee while Newt Gingrich, who was on Falwell’s list, had not.

So why don’t you know about Ron Paul? Unlike most Republicans, Paul is committed to life issues, not just campaign rhetoric, and has proven it in congress. In 2005 he introduced H.R. 776, the “Sanctity of Life Act of 2005.” It had almost no support from Republicans in Congress or the White House. That act would have recognized the personhood of all unborn babies by stating “human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.” The bill recognized the authority of each State in protecting unborn children. It also would have removed abortion from the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, nullifying the Roe v Wade decision, and would have ceased all funding for abortion providers. H.R. 776 would have ended abortion on demand. None of the leading “evangelical” pet politicians supported Ron Paul’s bill, including the President. This should be telling.

The abortion issue is only important for most republican politicians to talk about at election time; they do nothing about it once elected. Yet the abortion issue should be the one show stopper for all true Christians. If you want to cite the “Partial Birth Abortion Ban” that the President Bush signed (his only claim on supposed action on abortion), don’t do it. “The Partial Birth Abortion Bill” applies to maybe 1% off all abortions and if anything forces a woman to now choose to abort or not at an earlier date in the pregnancy while many decisions to not abort were made later, as the woman realizes she is carrying a human inside of her. So that law’s effectiveness is questionable to begin with. Ron Paul has introduced real action with no support from anywhere within conservative or Christian politics.

I challenge anyone to find a more truly conservative, pro-Constitution, pro-life, pro-heterosexual marriage, and pro-gun American politician than Ron Paul. Do some research now; He is electable and has a track record in Congress of over 16 years that is unparalleled. You can’t count on the “fair and balanced” media to help you chose, in case you had not figured that out by now.

He’s also not a member of the (evil) Skull & Bones, Rhodes Scholar, CFR, and is neither a member nor attended the bazaar, sick boy’s club Bohemian Grove like many of the other “Conservative Christians” many of you think would be a good choice. Association with these groups requires allegences that are ungodly and in some cases treasonous. (Hint: these are very sinister and very real organizations, and most powerful conservatives are members of one or more.)

    Please fellow Christians, get educated…

    Hey stu,
I would like to say that I would never vote for someone who holds to abortion or homosexual marriage, and these are very important issues to Christians like myself. However I think we need to understand that voting for a Mormon may even be worse yet. Someone who holds to the Mormon faith is no less than a blasphemer against our God and Savior. Are not Sins against our Holy God more serious than sins againt fellow man? This is worse,I beleive, than voting for a garden varitey non believer. These people out rightly lie about our God. I could not in good conscience vote for someone who knowingly holds to heretical teachings, or abortion, or other essentials. If that means not voting I guess that is what has to happen. Just remeber that we will stand before God with these votes that we cast. I need to do more reaserch on the canidates but I belive Huckabee seems to be good as far as I know at this time.

    thank you God bless

If history is our guide then the next President will not be one of the Senators making the headlines now. There have only been four Senators elected to the Presidency in our history. The last one was Kennedy.

    Sorry, Obama, Hillary and McCain!

Our next President will probably be a Governor. One of the ones running now?

By the Fall of ’08 we probably won’t be able to remember all the names we discuss today.

    If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed;
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

    Second Epistle of John
    Verses 10-11

Which candidate do you think most clearly expresses this fundamental right to our Christian hegemony?

It is amazing to hear the left’s cries of Right Wing Fundamentalism taking over and the “only way we’re ever going to remain …” free is “to elect candidates who reject …” the Right Wing Fundamentalists approach towards life.

The left are laughable along with the big goverment republicans since they have forgotten what true strife results from the adoption of their nihilist laws and practice.

Have you forgotten the Bolshevists and how many chruches they closed and turned into graineries in the Ukraine prior to the rise of lenin and stalin? 50000 chuches alone were in the soviet union at the start of their bloody reign and within three years, 1000 remained as espousers of the state’s “true” doctrine. Even in Britian today, one Christian church a month is closing as a result of the “love and attention” of the left and mosques are popping up like fungi on dead stumps on a warm summer’s night.

Shrink away from the light of truth ye vermin and generation of vipers who have not the will nor the ability to accept Christ in all of His glory. Be proud of your antichrist when he comes and blasphemes the name of Christ. Be a witness against those who stand for the Christian hegemony I mentioned earlier. By all means, use your hate laws as “free” and “open minded” as you all are since by your admission we Christians are all members of the insane asylum otherwise known as Western Civilization.

We must save this nation and world from left wing fundamentalists and right wing mainstreamers who will otherwise call themselves concerned as they hide their faces when their “friends” begin to make examples of Christians by force in order to silence debate and promote their true agenda.

    For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision;
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teach things which they ought not, for filthy’s lucre’s sake.

Paul’s letter to his son Titus Ch 1: V:10-11

For I through the law, am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me
I do not frustrate the grace of God; for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

    Galatians C2: V 19-21

For the office of President, we require a statesman who is above the filthy lucre and who will not attack his own people. We need a statesman who does not live beholden to the laws of man but rather to the laws of God in the spirit of those who have gone before.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Paul’s letter to the Galatians, Ch 5, V1

“Those who would sacrifice their freedom for security deserve neither.”

Man, can’t you just feel the hate in the last post from Mike, NC CSA?

    Christian hegemony?

I hope we all have sense enough to recognize the danger that would represent to a free nation.

They used to have Christian hegemony in parts of the world. They burned heretics at the stake. Our Constitution is a refutation of the idea that one religion rules the world.

Alot of Christians seem to like Romney, but what bothers me, is that the Mormon church isn’t ruled by the Book of Mormon. It is ruled by divine revelation. Let’s say Romney is a faithful Mormon. Now let’s say that Hinckly, the President of the Mormon church, tells Romney that God told him that polygamy should be made legal again – or anything else? I’ve noticed that Mormons change their revelations based on the political climate.

(They still believe in polygamy. They just don’t practice it right now – but it’s supposed to come back at some point.)

Anyway, the US could be ruled by the Mormon church and their revelations. Romney wouldn’t have to tell us why he was making the decisions he was.

    That is a scarey prospect.

    To the Moderator:

Can you tell me if the “Leave a Reply” and the last dozen posts were officially removed from the “What Does Mormonism Really Teach?” blog? Or was it a goof on my part that removed everything just on my computer? It still says 116 responses at the top, but there were only 51 or less with no “Leave a Reply.” This is the only Mormon site I could find to actually give a post. Mike Sears and I had planned to have a dialogue in which I hoped to establish the biblical soundness of Mormonism, but today everything has vanished.

Waiting to hear from either you or Mike Sears.

    Thanks,
    Amanda

    Hi Amanda,

We’re not seeing these issues on our end. The comments are still open and showing up on the “What does Mormonism really teach?” thread and none seem to have been deleted.

Let us know if you have any further problems.
